Until whole article is published we can only speculate characteristics of this new type of memory but it looks promising. Being able to instantly boot your OS, or instantly load any game would be so cool.

SSD's almost do that! haha

By the way, we will be pretty old when that appears, maybe quantum proccesors come before them.

Myself and one of the technicians at college were discussing this at the end of last year. It looks promising, though I don't see this replacing the RAM we use at the moment any time soon.

isn't this very similar to RAMdisk, just with conventional RAM and the RAMdisk together?
