Hi,

Ive got a Mach II GT, which has been running fine for about 6weeks now. Then today ive had some problems. The temps started to rise from the normal of about -60*c as reported on the LCD, they kept climbing till -10*c and the LCD read "Too Hot". By this time i had shut down windows. I left the unit an hour, till it was totally cooled off, but it is dead. Pressing the power button does nothing. Ive checked the fuse and its fine.

Is there anything else i can check?

One thing i did notice is that when the prommie was running fine, the compressor was very very hot. Too hot to touch really, is this normal?

Also if it is knackered where can i get it repaired?

Please help as its my main rig, and im stuffed without it!!

slapstick moron

The machII is up and running again...however its quite embarrasing to say why.:$

First of all the overheat was due to the application the day before of sound deadening materials to the inside of the unit. This coupled with the 120's running at "low noise" caused the temps to rise till the LCD displayed "Too Hot"

So in my haste to shut the machine down i leapt from the chair to hammer the power button. In my steathly moves i also managed to loosen the 3pin mains plug from the extenstion cord that was caught round my foot

Hence why the unit appeared dead :?

To be honest i really dont think i could have made a more slapstick cock-up knacker of myself if i tried!

However pain and humiliation is always wort something,as this new twin-looped h2O and prommie, are soon to be tweaked bu some funky custom-cast pelts.

Cheers for the help guys, Mark
