Dead HD 4870?

Hey guys.. so i got home after work yesterday to find my pc not working.. I had a look inside to see what was going on only to find when I turn the power on some red lights flash on the back of the 4870.. does this mean its dead?

Not that its any problem as I have a 560Ti arriving today.

Now I've put my new GPU in its still not coming up with anything on screen.. and ive now noticed that the power led and hdd led arent coming on on the case but getting no beeps from the mb speaker saying any problems? :S

I'd see if you could boot it with just CPU and RAM, plug the monitor into the motherboard. Check for any loose connections.

Do you have another PCI-e slot to try the card in?

My mobo doesnt have any on board graphics and only 1 pci-e slot.. you think the mobo is the problem?

Could be, but it's weird that it'd just stop posting. I get the red light near my PCI-e slot everytime when I boot up, do you have a spare monitor you could use? Maybe the light's gone in it? :S

It's ok now, I've pulled it all apart and put back together in case of a loose connection but it's working fine now so must've been a loose wire somewhere.

Thanks though.. Now to test this puppy out
