I've been dealing with a 10 down and 0.3 up internet connection for months, but the engineer has just left and I'm getting 74 down and 9.62 up, I was told to expect 54 down and 4 up, and according the the engineer after about a week to 10 days, it will go up, blimey this is more speed than what I no what to do with.

I downloaded a 14 GB game the Kane and Lynch collection in about 72 minutes, shit me, it used to take about 9 for 10 GB. I can finally get all my games re installed , I just hope I've got enough hard drive space to cope.

Blimey, I bet you can download for days. My area has only been connected for a week, so hopefully, in a few months it will go up. A friend of mine is on 200 down and 80 up, with Virgin, he keeps getting offers every so often, to extend his contract, for an extra 20, the thing is though he is up to about a 6 year contract, I think he's gone far enough.:o

Welcome to the fibre club :)

Although stricly speaking mine isn't as its FTTC, but still....

I subcribed to the top fttc package, 76 down, 19 up, and get this...

Can't beat Fibre :) I used to get 75 up 22 down, but I was paying £42 a month for a speed I was never going to use to it's fullest, so I negotiated with Plusnet for a slightly reduced speed at a better price totally unlimited including unlimited phone calls too all that for £22 a month :)

I get 60 down / ~7 up from Virgin currently, I remember switching from a 5mbps connection directly to this one, changed my life ^_^

For my old 10, 0.3, I was paying £27 PM, for totally unlimited, and Know I'm paying £29.47 PM, still totally unlimited, so a bargain I think.

Meanhile the Americans are struggling anything beyond 30mbps down...
I'm getting 24/5 and paying more than you guys are.. I feel for the Aussies here too

Feels good when you get a good speed increase for your inernets.
I started on a 10mbps connection and after a while I got upgraded to a 20mbps one. When that happened I was amazed that I could watch youtube videos in 1080p without having to wait 10mins for them to buffer :D

Recently though, I went from 60 down and 2 up to 100 down and 7 up, it feels good to have a somewhat decent upload speed now. Wish VM's upload speeds were as good as their download speeds though.
