currently reading -91 !!!

Strange things are a foot! my Mach 11 GT has been working fine for 5 months now, but over the last month my evaporator temps have been climbing it used to be around -54 -59 ish but its started going up and up its currently reading -91 on the blue LCD, I just cant come up with a decent explanation for this, all of this is under normal load, hit the O/C and they return to the -50 range, a week ago I did a hard disk relocation and noticed a slight weeping from one of the screw holes, thinking now is the time kill two birds with one stone I decided to remove the evaporator head firstly to solve the weeping screw head and secondly to check the state of the CPU socket and the surrounding area, surprisingly it looked the same as the day I had assembled the thing,,, clean as a fresh nappy. Having cleaned the components up I reassembled with new seal string this solved the problem of the weeping but not the climbing temps, am puzzled so if anyone has any experience of this kind of problem id be interested how you solved it or not as the case might be Thax

Sadly I have heard of this a few times on the forums and it points to a faulty control board try flashing the firmware that may fix it for a while

I had a look at your pic's in the gallery and its reading in fahrenheit

-91 degrees Fahrenheit = -68.4 degrees Celsius ;)

controller board

Yes I know, we seem to have a faulty controller board, I have had a word with Phil and we think it’s the above, I tried everything to get it displaying in Celsius but nothing works. The fact it’s so low plus the fans don’t respond to the software or much else kind of points to the controller being defective. We tried uninstalling and pulling the USB header and removing from device manager etc but it made no difference. Apart from that the unit is working fine, Phil who is always there to offer advice and prompt service, is dispatching a new controller board to me to solve the problem. Can’t prise the guy enough,

controller board

Problem Solved, fitted a new controller board sent out by Phil and everything is working fine, it’s not that difficult to fit provided you remove the fan first. My sincere thanks to Phil for the fast and efficient service and too fatty for the advice.

Cheers Guys >> :)
