Crysis 3 single player what are you running at ?

i just hit 300 fps in that game and 4000 fps in the menu. do you have vsync on?

300fps????

I noticed yesterday that it's not capped when mine hit just over 110fps for a few seconds, and I think it may have hit higher than that but I am not sure.

i have the setting on lowest because i feel like the game is unplayable at sub 120 fps. feels like it lags.

That explains it lol.

The game feels smooth for me at anything above 45fps, but I must admit I hate playing games when I cannot get 60fps at max settings and luckily I can with this game, otherwise I possibly would have looked at adding another GTX 680 :)

I must admit I am loving the single player of this game not tried the mulitplayer side of it yet, but will have to see what it's like tomorrow when I get a chance to play it online.

meh, felt like both was half done crap. they should have spent more time developing it, crysis had potential. but it's the same in the entire gaming industry.

finally got a chance to play this today, even if only for an hour, i ran everything maxed out at 1080p with SMAA 1X and it hurts man!! 45fps average, most i saw was 52fps

really does test your hardware, ill find optimal settings once i get a chance on the weekend, hopefully my new mouse will be here by then, wireless mice for gaming are fucking dire!

I need a new mouse myself, but not sure which to get to be honest.

I love the Sidewinder mouse I have at the moment but the DPI is to low and it's getting on abit now as I have had it a while.

Thinking of the Coolermaster Sentinal Advance as, I had one but not to sure yet need to go to Scan and look at some.

i just bought a Roccat Kova+ all the reviews ive read said its pretty damn good considering its price bracket, i dont think im at the level of gaming yet where i need to spend £100+ on peripherals

I refuse to pay over £70 for a Keyboard or Mouse.

Headphones are something that I will spend more on if they are worth it.

See specs in my sig..

I'm getting mins of 27 FPS with average around 58 and highs of 70s using the PC in my sig. That's with everything on very high (as high as it goes) with 4XMSAA.

However I am beginning to think it's CPU bottleneck related because when I change to FXAA I expected a FPS boost but it stayed exactly the same as when I used 4XMSAA.

Either way it's fully playable and quite remarkable to look at. Far better than Crysis 2 too, much less of the unskippable story chit and far more involved as a game :)

Nope the standard 1.5gb but mine is a 560ti hawk running at 1ghz on the core clock. I've found that in various benchmarks it's competing with the 570s. Also remember i'm running at "Medium" settings

Same thing happened to me last night. I had Vsync on, and it was going crazy in the FPS counter. Sadly it kept freezing and stuttering so I put it down to being a bug in the code

I have everything on very high, AA i have on SMAA X2, getting anywhere between 25 to 60 fps although average of about 45, with a 670

Thats some bloody good frame rate, I get worse than that on SMAA :L

Looks like this game is pretty damn demanding! So basically youre looking at dual GTX670/7950 or better to average 50-60 fps on max settings. That's pretty impressive.

I haven't bought it yet but Im sure it would stretch my trusty but aging 5870. Between this, Far Cry 3, BF3 and Sleeping Dogs, looks like I really need to upgrade.

a 7950 doesn't average at 50-60 fps on max settings. it's more like 20-30.
