Cru's H440

If I may ask (and this isn't a critique, I'm just curious), what is it about
water cooling that you don't like?

Yeah, that's the only thing that sticks out to me a bit, good to see you're on
top of it. I have actually seen it being painted red by a few people, it might
actually be worth a shot. I think the crucial part would be to get the right
shade of red (which would probably a bit of a trial and error thing with the
light behind it and all that) and making the coat even so that it doesn't
look weird when it's lit and an equal part of light comes through the paint
across the entire surface. Besides, if the result does not satisfy you, you
could always sand it down a second time. ;)

As for the lacing, if you're not super clumsy it's actually not very difficult,
though it will take a little time to do, so if that's not your cup of tea that's
OK of course. Great to see people are so enthusiastic about it though,
that's awesome! :D

Oh yes, before I forget: I do rather like it overall, the H440 really does make
for very clean builds. :)

not sure.. i mean it looks good once it's done but i didn't really enjoy build and especially draining the loop

gonna see how it looks in white first, kinda doubt i'll be painting it

Well, indeed custom loops are not only pricey, but yes, there is some extra
work involved compared to plan old air cooling (or AIOs). That's actually
part of what I enjoy about it, but it's certainly not for everyone, no issue with
that.

decided to go with two 120gb 840 evos to fill the ssd slots
issue is that i can't find any damn cables that i want
would have to import everything again, can't be arsed to do that

so yesterday i gave getting the geforce logo on my 780 white a try
first i tried to get it done without removing parts of the cooler which didn't work that well
here's the result after about 10 minutes

that's all!

might have to give cable lacing a try

Hi

Damm that looks very nice! I love the twin 840 Evo and the white Geforce Logo. I might have attempted to color it red with some marker pens and see if it still glows through as you could always polish it off again. Very sweet looking rig. I wish I had the money to start mine that is sitting on the bench. Only have Case and PS right now. The only thing I would try is maybe lacing the cables. As I sleeve my own cables, I might give it a go this next build.

Much better! I understand why nVidia did it in green but they could have maybe included colour filter options after all it's mainly enthusiasts that buy the cards anyway.

well it still isn't dark but i wanted to see it myself so i just let the blinds down for a minute
the pictures don't really do it justice though
the gtx logo is quite bright, war brighter than the h105

Yeah, I agree. Now that I see it in that nice white I'd say that
was definitely the way to go (then again, I usually go for white
LEDs, with few exceptions). :)

yeah it was worth it for sure! didn't take long once i had it out of the shroud
