Hey guys, I've finally decided to start the build I asked for your advice on a month ago - For the most part I've followed your advice and that of my friends on the forums, however, the one thing that keeps on bugging me is with the SSDs.
I've decided to go for a reasonably large SSD as prices have dropped and I have lots of programs/games to store. My main dilema is between a Crucial M4 128Gb or two OCZ Octane 4 128Gbs. The M4 is roughly £90 whereas the two OCZ drives will cost me around £120 - so thats not much of a price increase for twice the capacity. I've heard rumours of horror stories when it comes tot he OCZ drives and everyone I ask tries relentlessly to push me towards the M4 - but the storage per £ is just far too tempting. I guess what I'm asking here is:
Why are OCZ so bad? Could I get away with the two drives? Is it worth the risk? And out of all the drives around, what would you go for when storage is somewhat of an issue?
