Crossfire / SLI

My MSI K9A2 arrived today and I have a sinking feeling that I have overlooked something...

It came with two Crossfire bridges and this made me wonder if the board is compatable with Nvidia SLI cards. I can't find anywhere that explicitly states it isn't, although I can't find anywhere that states it is either!

Does anyone know for sure? As this may mean I have to RMA the 8800GT :(

Usually, Crossfire and SLI are not compatible. So it is either one or the other.

But somewhere there are drivers that aloow SLI on crossfire motherboards I think. :)

Sad face.

Theres no reason why the 8800 wont work on its own though, is there?

When I come to going multiple GPU I guess I'll have to weigh up my options then.

Oh the 8800 will work fine on its own! ;)

I wouldn't worry about single cards... just dual.

FX970 isn't in that list of supported unsupported chipsets, although by that time I'm sure somebody will have worked something out! Thanks for the info :worship:
