hello to everyone i am a bit stuck on my choice of motherboards to buy hope someone can help i have an intel E8500 and gainward 8800gt but the board i was going to get has a x38 chip which would work great with my pro but it has crossfire for ati i am not sure if my 8800gt will work well with these boards the other option is an sli board with a 780i chip for nvidia but can be a nightmare with the new 45nm intels with compatabitley i would be very gratfull if someone could help as i am really stuck and do not want to waste money on the wrong board many thanks tork

The 8800GT will work fine in that board but you wont be able to run 2 in SLI... Thats the only downfall but its hardly worth it anyway.

Summary is buy the board your looking at as long as you're not looking at running SLI on that board in the future.

Woah, punctuate your sentances mate!

Your GT will work in a CF board. You just won't be able to run SLi. If you weren't planning on buying 2 GT's this doesn't affect you.

CF boards use intel chipsets (x38 etc) which are far superior to nvidia crapsets.
