Crossfire or not?

Hey there all,

I'm in the process of putting together my new machine (you can see my specs decided so far) and was just wondering which would be better for my Asus p5W DH Deluxe mobo...?

2 Radeon x1600xt 256mb in Crossfire, OR

A Geforce 7600GT?

Or... would it be worth more to pay up a little more for a Geforce 8600GT 512MB? Any recommendations or changes you would make to my setup so far?

Get a single card:

* No driver hassles

* No power issues

* No IRQ issues

* Not as much money wasted

Wow - thanks for the quick replies Kempez!

Wicked stuff... didn't realise there would be driver issues with Crossfire. Would the 8600GT (512mb) be better performance than the Crossfire or vica versa? (However you may spell that phrase...)

Get the 8600GT.

Performs on par with the 7800s which are far superior to both the 7600 (duh) and the X1600s.
