Crossfire Help!! PCI-E slots CLOSE together!

I have two Vapor-X 4890s. They get HOT! One is in RMA status on an unrelated issue...so I havent been able to truly test them yet... But I am trying to decide between getting another Vapor X factory OC or the Toxic version.

My PCI-E slots have one slot between them which is taken up by the vga cooler. They are sandwiched together. Will this be disastrous? Which has the best cooler in these conditions?

Any suggestions welcome... help me make the best decision.

By the way, Sapphire's RMA service has not been pleasant.

Thank-you.

an you tell me which motherboard you're using? If there is 3 pci-e don't use the second one and use the third one(with the vga cooler on). I think some motherboard's third slot is 1.0 not 2.0 but the performance won't decreace that much.

Try taking off your vga cooler see if that helps. If yes put the vga cooler at the bottom of your second graphic card and turn up the fan speed of your 4890 fan.

I read some article about the 4890 toxic and vapor-x is that vapor-x is more quiet and that toxic one has better overclocking ability but it's louder than the vapor-x it up to you, I recommand Toxic because of the overclocking and the price i saw online is only $20 USD and the frequency is clocked higher. Look at other brand with better RMA service .
