crazy idea with a 4000rpm fan

yeah but oh god the noise on those deltas :o

I have two in my server and when that's under full load it hovers! lol

EDIT: I have a theory that if i put 4 deltas in it, it might implode and create a blackhole, anyone care to test?

I havent heard much about the v8.

But I would say True.

The only thing is that you dont get a fan. So for a couple of degrees I went for the Noctua

You might want to do a bit more looking round as that is just one review site and could be biased.

Look at other sites. Herer is their comparisions for heat or noise based.

http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

If you want the best then look round at each of those and see where other people place them.

I would also look at the OC3D reviews as they are honest....

Frostytech reviews are only good for measurements such as clearance, the rest is balls.

They dont use a standard fan for testing all coolers, this means a crap cooler with a delta could top their table easily.

Proper procedure should mean a standard 80/90/120mm fan and any proprietary fans stay stock.

so which lga775 cooler is the best?

Prolimatech Megahalems seems to be pretty good

but

i am now goin to either get an ocz vendetta 2 or a v8 coolermaster.

which one is better?

If your willing to lap, then the T.R.U.E by Thermalright is top knotch, as is the prolimatch megahalems.

The OCZ vendetta 2 underwhelmed me tbh, and the V8 is not really worth the money compared to a T.R.U.E.

i have a small question, what is a negative flow (or something like that)? because i have read lots of reviews on about that.

OMG this is my 100th post!!

Are you referring to negative pressure/positive pressure?

Positive pressure is when you have more air going into the case that is being exhausted- it keeps dust down by forcing air outwards through any grills and gaps- It is not so good for temps (at most 2-3c difference) as hot air can get trapped.

Negative pressure is when you have more air going out of the case than is going in- this attracts dust through any grills or holes without dust filters, but tends to be more efficient at removing hot pockets.

grats on 100 posts .
