CPUZ reports 1.6

Was wondering why CPUZ says CPU @ 1.6 when it states 2.4? I have never really used CPUZ but I know this might have something to do with downclocking @ idle state due to ASUS software?

Anyway of setting it @ 2.4, instead of this power saving stuff lol.

you could check in the bios if the 'speed-step' function is enabled,

this is the function that lets the processor downclock on idle. if it is enabled, disable it :)

Will have a look matey, will post back when I have looked.

Nope, disabled speed-step and it still says 1.6 and when using any application goes to 2.4 :P.

Was enabled of course in BIOS.

Anything else?

Yeah just noticed that, but still seems to be going @ 1.6 unless running an application. Just minimized the window to reveal it was running @ 900mhz lol!

I complain with everything, I was just wondering what was up with it?:D.

I have my answer now, but turning off speedstep should fix the problem, but hasn't.
