cpu cooling for build

im working on a build with the new 4790k and im stuck between water cooling and air cooling. my current most likely water cooler is the h110, im also looking at some 360mm kits. and air is between the nh-d15 and black rock pro3 (with noctua fans). if anyone has any suggestions as to what my best option is please tell me. (all radiators will have noctua fans on them)

Why not throw together a full build log so we can see what you have in mind and then we can give you suggestions, saves time and that way you don't have to create a thread for each part of your rig.

Personally I'd use the H110 over the NH-D15 with the 4790k especially if you decide to Overclock it later.

What are you wanting from cooling your CPU, quietness, cool temps, good looks, high overclocks, moderate overclocks..?
Theirs no point in changing the dark rock pro 3 fans out as they're maybe a few decibels louder than the noctua fans, you won't notice a thing as the DRP3 fans are very quiet too.

Personally I would go the H110 route, (although I actually got a H100i but watercooling of some sort was a definatefrom the start of the build, it was the H100i or a small custom loop depending on budget variations I had to consider)

I am really glad I did go for the H100i though, and currently awaiting the corsair sp120 LED fans, as I can then swap the 2 AF120 white LED fans currently sitting on the radiator, I have it in push pull, the included fans that come with the unit are on the top of the rad pulling ait through.

With the H100i, playing games I rarely see the cpu temps go over 50°c and thats when it really getting pushed, I have the CPU clocked to just over 4.8GHz running nice and stable too, it idles at approx 28 to 30°c, and have overclocked the Twins also, but that another story and irrelivant for this post. :D
