May i know among this few tiered manufacturers of DDR2 RAM manufactures, which are more reliable and overclocking friendly for a work-based environment? 'Work-Based' - meaning using rendering intense 3D application software e.g. 3D STUDIO MAX, AUTODESK INVENTOR 2009, ADOBE CS3 SUITE, SOLIDWORKS etc. I am contemplating on a budget of $200> for my ram, be it 4GB or 2GB as long as they can fufil my prerequisites for runnning the above mentioned applications, and play some of the latest games around. Greatly appreciate any advice given thank you.

Hmm, i vote for crucial, i have 4 gb of ballistix memory (pc-6400 1gb modules) working very good, no errors adn they are doing good job under PS CS2, C Draw and games ;], anyway all off them are good manufactures.

Its all personal choice with memory imo, they all perform pretty much the same unless you tweak them. I went with OCZ simply because it was cheap and it has never let me down.

i agree , with those companys is only up to you what you choose , if you will go thru reviews you will se that performance is equal, only small difference you will have when you overclock it.

About OCZ, they have let me down once , we dont like RMA`s but they are happening ;]

I like OCZ but they don't seem to do great in ASUS motherboards, crucial is my current favourite, stable and my 6400 (400MHz) memory is running great at 500MHz and I'm just using SPD settings too :)

though it isn't DDR2, my OCZ platinum rev2 DDR works just fine in my Asus a8n sli-delux (2-3-2-5 @1T at up to DDR416)

Corsair and OCZ have done good for me (same with the Kingston sticks I have in my lappy)

go with crucial. Higher performance DDR2 still uses Micron chips and Crucial is Micron's inhouse brand. Specifically you want the ballistix. I have a set of tracers. Fried them once , the least painful RMA i have ever experienced in my life .
