Corsair Vengeance LP

Im looking at the Corsair Vengeance LP's and wondered if anyone can recommend them?

The ones i am interested in are 8GB (2 x 4GB) 1600MHz CL9 at 1.35v in white

I will be running them in a machine with the following spec

Sabertooth Z77

IB 3570K

EVGA 680

600T in white (hence the colour of the RAM)

H100

AX 750

The other option i was looking at was the Mushkin Blackline Ridgeback CL8

I know the CL8 are better but will there be much difference or do i just go for the Corsairs as the colour matches the rig?

If your gonna be running ram at stock then go with the cl9, if your gonna be overclocking then the cl8's should give you more headroom... difference between the two in day to day activities should be unoticable...

Personally I would stick with the corsairs to match your case........

I have the white corsair LPs in my system. (see my build in the rig gallery) never had a problem with them and they do operate at the lower voltage but i put them back up to the default 1.5v for stability with overclocking. Def considering another set of them for my white 600t they look really nice with the black PCB's also

How does changing the voltages affect the modules?

I really do like the Corsairs and think they are the ones i will end up going for, no point buying white cable extensions and not choosing the white memory modules!

well i'm very new to overclocking so I'm not really the best judge but i can say that with everything at stock they operate at the full 1600mhz at 1.35volts with no problem!

Well i just got the Kingston Hyper-x and instantly overclocked them to 1860mhz and had fine stability. But out of the 2 i would go for the Corsair Vengeance LP because i have had some experience with them and they overclock easily and for aesthetic reasons look very clean and not too fancy and pointless.

I use the Corsair Vengeance LP's 1.35v, they can come in various IC's.

I've not bothered overclocking mine, just havent got around to it, when I had my AMD rigs I always used to be buying RAM and seeing what overclocks best.

Overclock3D in their review had some success click here >> http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/memory/corsair_vengeance_lp_8gb_1_35v_review/3

Overclock3D used the ver 8.16 which clocked alright. Mine are also ver 8.16 I just checked.

2.16 = Elpida IC's

8.16 = Nanya IC's
