Corsair Vengance Headsets

Hi guys,
i just broke my headset today and have been surfing the web to find some new. I have been looking at some of the Corsair ones. Found the Vengance 2000 and the Vengance 1500. I have read some rewievs and quite a few ppl complain about the headset not beeing build solid. They say that the whole ear shell broke of and the headset in general feels a bit cheap build.

Does anyone have experience with these headsets and could report me on that ? Sound quality is fine from what i have heard, so that would be the only thing preventing me from buying them.

And is the only difference between them that the 2000 is wireless and the 1500 is not ? Haven't found much info on that.

Thanks for any response.

i love my vengeance 2000. its rather nice. yes its plasticy but it seems faily solid. i guess if you treat them with respect and dont throw em about you should be ok. ill prob be swapping to a set of astro a50s in a few months. i like the audiophile 1+ preset. battery life isnt massive

6hours straight. When bioshock came out I was off work and had nothing to do as I was sick at the same time 6 hours ABSOLUTE MAX fressh off the charge before it started beeping to notify its low. It's a comfy headset. My brother triton axpros are awful heavy tight headache enducing. 2000s are dead on. And as far as I can tell the 1500 is the same but wired

I have the 1500 and now looking towards the 2000 version. starting on the wired
version (only because my connection is 300mm away), but now increasing the
case and moving and would like the wireless version.
the 1500 is comfortable on my medium-size noodle, not so tight my pulse can be
heard in the ear-cups. can be a bit cumbersome if you have a lot of head-movement
from side-to-side for prolong amount of time (4hrs of a tennis match).
I know I have them on (not stealthy) but when muted, I can hear a muffled conversation
in normal voice tones. sound reproduction is quite remarkable, but I only use
them in stereo (no audio effects).
i'm not an audiophile by no means, but from a late-night and wanna crank up
some tunes to eleven.. I can and they have a mild bass reproduction without
wall shaking. i'm looking forward to the 2000 for a remote usage aspect.

cancel that. one of the headset to can mounting points exploded while i was wearing it. i was wearing them then i heard a loud snap. things cracked. wouldnt you know. give a positive review then they break

I wouldn't recommend the 1500, I had it for a few days as I borrowed it from my brother whilst waiting for my Razer Tiamat 7.1 to arrive and to be honest they didn't do it for me.
They just felt like the 1300's but with a USB connection instead of jacks.

Just get real headphones.

Headsets sound pretty crap with music since they usually have multiple drivers. In fact if you are listening to any 2 channel audio it will sound crap.

I have the Astro a50's the best of the best when it comes to headsets. And outside of 5.1/7.1 gaming they sound pretty we'll... terrible.

Just get real headphones.

+1

Just get a pair of Sennheiser HD 558s or Audio Technica AD700s (ugly but excellent positional audio) and an Asus Xonar DG/DGX. That way you have a great pair of all around headphones and the option to use virtual 5.1 when you game.

Yeah sure i'll just buy the A50 because they only cost the tiny amount of 300€ and i can poop out money........... Not !

I am not looking for headphones, because i have a proper sound system. I am looking for a headset that will give me the ability to hear where my enemys are at and has a decent mic to talk to my clan mates. For movies and music i'll use my sound system.

I dont want to criticize anyone but that is one of the things i see a lot and that is driving me crazy.
Lets say: Paul needs a new psu and he has lets say 100€ to spend.
650w will be enough and he dont need crazy stuff. So he asks here in the forums. He will read things like "maybe you could strech your bugdet and get the xyz model" which will be complete overkill for what he needs. Why cant somebody just say look at this model abc"" it is 80 € and it is decent.

My question in this thread was if somebody has got these headsets and could tell me a bit about them. I dont want to read stuff like "Just get real headphones."

NO I WANT TO BUY A HEADSET, BECAUSE I NEED ONE !

Is there any diference between the 1500 and the 2000 exect the wireless ?

if you can wait a week, I just ordered my 2000 set and I can let you know.
I like my 1500 for your pretty exact needs, but corded. i'm pretty sure the
2000 is close, if not the same as 1500 without the USB cord. can let you know.

Hi. I have the Vengeance 1300. Or did, until a rabbit came along and ate the cable while I was playing a game. I agree with you that sometimes you are not looking for the greatest audiophile quality but just want a decent product that does the job. I can assure you that this range of headphones really punches above its weight. Whilst the sound quality isn't the best in the bass department, the comfort is superlative. Hope this helps

Use that,

I never said buy the a50's I said I have the a50's and they are considered top of the range in this department and we'll yeah read the rest of my last post. Save your money and buy a blue tooth mic instead. I can honestly say you can't tell where your enemy is no matter how many drivers are inside the can the only thing you will ever hear is left / right. Also Virtual does a better job of back front.

Also if the problem is you need wireless then ok fair enough get the Corsair 2000 or Logitech g930

I always wanted to test this whole 'hear where your enemies are coming from' bullship. I don't believe it and it seems just another false fan decibel issue.
If headphones could give 360 awareness then I would pay ££££ to hear Beethovens 5th in the middle of the orchestra!.....

Right now i use the turtel beach mx12 headset. It is freaking 2.1 and does not have ANY drivers. It is just 1x 3,5 mil jack and done. And even with this piece ofshit i can locate my enemys when they are walking and ahooting so dont talk crap
