Corsair SP120 QE's Noise at 12V

So i'm about to order some new hardware including two SP120 QE's to go on my H100, but i was wondering how quiet are they on 12V? I've seen a couple videos on them and they seem really quiet but i just wanted to double check and see what you guys think just in case they turn out to be loud in which case i'll need to knock em down to 7V. I'll be running them off a 3 pin to Molex adapter just in case you were wondering.

they are wind quiet on 12v and at 7v they are un-noticable. @ 7v they do loose alot of their
air-moving capabilities. i went perf edition and undervolted to maintain some air draw on 20fpi
radiator. but on a lesser fpi, the quiet would really be the better choice, and you'll prolly not undervolt..

Thanks man. Gonna put them on 12V's and see how it goes :)

the SPQE were not audible @ 7v from .5m.. thats un-noticable..
its not overconfidense.. i have them, tried them and noted my findings..
i preferred the SPPE @ 7v which have a faint air tone @ .5m and 5° better cooling.

I didn't experience the same then. While they weren't noisy by any stretch of the imagination, I could certainly hear them.
Not to say I have any suggestions that're better; they're still excellent fans.

Unless, I suppose, the inline resistor that came with them don't turn them down to 7v, but a bit above that. I never had the idea to check at the time since I had other concerns. >.<
