true but im skint and gettin this cooler replaced is good stuff now i can spend the money i was going to have to use on a new cooler in the pub tonight

does anyone know if i have to cover the costs of shipping the item back to corsair in the Netherlands? as i dont think thats very fair me being out of pocket cause of a faulty product

Yes you do, and the cost is very large indeed.

It's in the terms and conditions of the RMA process and there's not a lot you can do. It'll work out less than you paid, but it's certainly a kick in the teeth. They will cover return carriage.

I have heard some UK retailers will deal with Corsair RMAs directly, and so I strongly suggest finding out who will in the future (I know you didn't buy this new, but for everyone's future reference).

Next time I'd go with a decent air cooler if I were you. Cheap watercooling is asking for trouble and is more risk for no acoustic benefit, about the same cooling performance and a relatively expensive cost compared to air. That's my opinion.

i got it RMA'd from microdirect after i provided them with my corsair RMA number and they took it back no problem so i was about £8.50 to send it back special delivery and im just waitin on it coming back now

the reason i bought it was at the time i had an antec 300 and i didnt have the room for a high end air cooler and this was just as good and there was plenty of room for it im actually lookin forward to gettin it back and testing it out against this true, i went and bought 2 x Sharkoon 2000 "Golf Ball" fans to try out with both so ill see what gives me the best temps at 3.6ghz and ill keep that in the system

i didnt know at the time but i got the cooler b4 i changed cases as it was the cheaper option i was initially really pleased with the h50 but obviously with it being faulty it was gettin worse over time but this new one is going to get tested against the true and see what i can get it to do with the new fans

yeah it only cost £8.50 special delivery as i wanted it insure for its brand new pricce incase it did a dissapearing act as royal mail things do and first class only insured up to £39, but hopefully i should get it next week at some point to do some playin about with
