Corsair H110i GT and HG10 N780

i don't think there will be a single 120 version that's thicker than the h80i
280mm, possibly

Well I'm guessing it has to do with the spec, The H100i is the best 240mm cooler they make where as the other 2 might get big brothers i.e thicker rads etc... so the "X" will be reserved for them, Would make sense, If not then the I aint got a scooby.

What if you consider that the H100i GTX is the flagship of the 'small' blocks and there is still a flagship of the big blocks to come.

Small block - H80i GT
Small block - H100i GTX
Big block - H110i GT
Big Block - HXXXi GTX

My money is on that path. I don't however think it will be thicker, it just wouldn't really benefit anyone. Plus if it's only 27mm it still leaves people enough clearance to go push/pull in a 750D/730T/760T/780T which means double the fan sales. Nobody can resist sticking 6 Corsair fans on if the have they space.

that would make sense indeed

Also note that with the big block comes a difference in radiator construction.

Braided hoses?

Yeah, getting a new rig in january is not a good thing because of CES.

The pump design on those new coolers is absolutely amazing!

hmmm... people who upgrade to the newer coolers can buy the adapter and fit their older one to their gpu. Thats the only cost effective way i see it being used. I suppose a full custom loop wouldnt be exactly cheap but spending ~$300 on multiple closed loop coolers is getting close to telling yourself to just go custom loop

Edit- semi passive feature would have really killed the market for the gpu adapter.

I like the looks of the new coolers, but when I do my upgrade I will be going back to a full custom loop as the H100i that I have currently cannot keep my 3930k cool enough when overclocked.

Luckily my dad won't need the 3930k overclocked when I give it to him so it will be fine for that.

Eventually a company will come out with some decent AIO's for people with bigger cases.

I like the idea and braided hoses somewhat, but don't really fancy the new block/pump design though... doesn't really fit my cup of tea unfortunately. I still prefer the old H100i over the new ones :)

Are the hoses braided? Its kind of odd looking to me.

It's like a fat chick in black spandex.

Yeah braided hoses  you mean you like them, look weird to me but matt black is my favourite.

Oh I need to say something outside of quotes apparently. Pay attention fapking! Yeah they are braided, some people seem to like it while we think it's weird. I guess it must be a fetish of some disgusting nature.

This is just my weird mind... but won't really braided hoses collect more dust rather than just simple "rubber" (?) hoses, like on the old ones?...

IF it is the same pipes underneath could those that just want the rubber piping cut it off?

I actually did this on an Silverstone fan, on the braided cable and man that was a pain in the fcking arse!... if it's the same thing on these, then there's no way I'd actually give it a go. If fan cables were that much of an hassle, I don't even want to start to imagine what these big ass tubings would be like

Looks like it goes into the fitting though so it will be a warranty voiding manoeuvre to rip it off and probably just as elaborate to do as re-tubing it.

It probably won't show the dust as bad but then when you dust it all the fibres off your cloth will stick into it and make it look furry and stupid. Braided cables don't seem to pose a problem to dusting so maybe it will be ok in that respect.
