Corsair H100i v2

Hey guys,

I've now tested 2 different H100i v2's and both suffered from bad pumps... I can hear the pump kinda like tickle a lot. I didn't experience this with my original H100i though.

I just wanted to post here and see if I am the only one that have encountered this issue with this unit or so?... Maybe am I doing something wrong? I don't know.

Thanks,
Chrazey

Yeah, I noticed that after connecting it to CPU_OPT fan header and then switching it to CPU_FAN header, that when unplugged, the pump went down and then up again when connected.

Although, won't that reduce the cooling potential of the unit?... And if turning down, at what percentage/rpm should it be run at? I have no idea regarding that... Since like with my original H100i, I just intalled it and never touched it. Were fine straight out of the box.

Why not turn it down....

And then test it to see how it goes on your rig.

Id personally give the pump 12v power and then adjust the speed in link.

Im using the H80i and Corsair Link 4 with 12v sata power connection, cant see anywhere to change pump speed but corsair recommends leaving pump at full speed for max cooling . i must be lucky because my pump is silent and link is reporting that pump is running at 2161rpm.

Also this is what I'm concerned/thinking about regarding lowering the pump speed etc.
