Corsair Carbide Air 540

I looked at the HAF XB, and its a nice case, but coming down from an X, I don't think I would be happy with it. Especially running dual 7970's and sticking a rad on the front and getting a P/P that I want.

I like the fact that this one looks more sophisticated than a HAF series, but might give me equal cooling.

If caselabs entered the mainstream market for cases then corsair would have some stiff competition. Never know.
No one would buy Corsair cases anymore ( yes, I think Caselabs are that good ). No disrespect to Corsair, they make the best mainstream cases in my opinion. Anyway, it would be a bold move for Caselabs and surely they would have to cut corners in order to keep the price down.

They wouldn't need to cut corners. Just make a mainstream case and open up another facility in the UK/Europe and a lot of costs would go down. Not cheap but may just work.

I don't know about europe, but from what I understand, review units will be shipping in the US within the next couple of weeks, and the way corsair worded it publicly, there is no embargo in place, so reviews should occur within weeks, after all, they claim they will be ready to ship directly, by early july, it is just getting the units to the retailers that will take until august.

I think I might just desperately want one if it conforms to my OCD standards.

I hope that the 3.5" cages in the front are removed to leave a smooth bottom and then I can stick my hard drives in the optical bays and keep the front super clean. Overall i'm not sure they have got the drives spot on, surely there would have been room for a little rack in the back above the PSU instead of the stupid 2.5" rack, like anyone with the cash for 4 SSD's isn't going to buy a 900D which brings me onto my other concern, this is not an Obsidian. The apparent difference between my graphite 600T and obsidian 550D were enough to sway me to avoid lesser cases. This actually looks pretty high quality in the pics.

TTL i'm sure you will but please cover these issues thoroughly when you get a review out.

You lot need to remember Ive known about this case for about 8 months.....

Ive spent a fair bit of time on it and as ever its not perfect. But its still pretty epic and the price just makes it better IMHO

Am I the only one who thinks this case is hideous? The only way this case is livable, is if you turn it on its side. Even then the cheap plastics are a sin. Get a Lian Li PC-343 and be done with it.

The price of that you could get 2 of these, and looking at tom's review of it (tom's first review as it goes) I can't say I like it. but each to their own tastes :)

I'm not a fan of it either to be honest, It's got a lot of nice features, but it's just to big as in the foot print is huge it will need it's own small desk or shelf ..lol

I really love this case. I think it has a lot of potential. When I'm ready to build my first computer, this is the case I'm going to use. I looks great. Cable management is going to be really good with this case. Can't wait to see what others do with it.
