This will require better products during testing but all that's going to happen is they will raise prices yet again because better = more money

They already had cybernetics badges before, they are just dropping the redundant 80plus badge on newer PSUs. Which means they are paying for one less test. If it happens as you say and they make better, more expensive prosucts,.well that just makes sense doesn't it? You can always buy cheaper, worse products from the competition.
