Corsair 350D

Photos of everything mate - ie: more than one.

Hey guys,

As Tom requested above, I got some time and took the case apart for the photos.

To my disappointment, it does look like the bay is solid with the case frame and not removeable just by taking out the rivets :(

Take a look:

Just like a 750D it's pressed out of both sides of the front of the chassis. Easily solved with a dremel. The case won't be painted under the joins as that chassis is painted as one part, it will most likely already have some surface rust, nothing to worry about as it's not exactly exposed. I'd cut it out, the case will survive ;)

Cool, thanks for the advice and help JR!

Btw, your inbox just hit the roof ;)

Right, so now I've encountered another problem... when trying to drill out the rivets, how do I do it?. Whenever I line up the drill and start drilling, it drills for a short while before the actual rivets itself starts to spin with the drill.

How do I drill it out if the rivet itself starts to spinn?...

how thick is the rivet you should only have to drill 1-2mm and it'll break through?

Right, so here's the rivets as where you can see where I tried to drill it and it just started spinning with the drill. And eventually broke the drill off, RIP drill.

If you wreck the end of a rivet grab some pliers or angle snips and just crush the remaining rivet and it should just pop out, they are only soft aluminium.
