Ive made a bit of a teaser for my upcoming build, but was wondering where i stand with copyright? it uses some music from crysis in the background, would it be ok to post up?

Its hard to say. Music is copyrighted within games, but if say, you have gameplay in a video, with said music, then you are not breaking their copyright. So have some gameplay.. with the music, fade out gameplay and you should be ok

But dont hold me to this.

TBH, unless your video ends up as one of the most popular video's in the world, playing on TV stations and is rated #1 on youtube, nobody is going to bat an eyelid.

Copyright enforcement is generally about going after the big offenders and the people that make money from it.

There's probably a million vids on youtube that have copyrighted background music on them. You'd have to be immensely unlucky to get pulled up for yours.

I really wouldnt worry about in theory you need to ask permission to use any copyrighted material even if giving credit.

I doubt anything will ever come from it, at worst whoever is hosting would get a takedown notice. Which I doubt will ever happen.
