Copper pipe to bulkhead to QDC ?

Need your help guys! This is the last thing I need to sort out for the watercooling of my system.

I need to work out how to connect chromed copper tubing to a bulkhead (case wall) then to a quick disconnect, for normal plastic tubing.

I'd prefer the connector at the end of the chromed copper tube to be a push-fit type; makes installation much easier, but if it has to be compression then so be it.

Hopefully the image below will help explain:

Cheers.

What diameter pipe are you using?

Have you looked at plumbing compression fittings? If you get an adapter from a plumber's fitting (they are often threaded on the other end) to G1/4" you could use something like this to go through the wall and then a normal watercooling fitting on the other side.

Hi aplenwasser.

The internal pipework (copper) will be 10mm with G1/4 push fittings, the external pipework will be plastic but undecided to the size or type as yet.

I do like the look of the bulkhead fitting you linked to, it'll be disguised quite well at the back of my case. I'd only seen the nickle coated ones.

I'm drawing something up at the moment that is one way of doing what I want, but I wondered if there was a more elegant way.

Right, had a bit of a look and got my crayons out again.

I think this may work...

It's a bit unwieldy and costly but is an option. I think I'll continue to have a look at what I can find. Any ideas or comments on this please post 'em up!

I think I may have found a solution! I'll post it here in case anyone else needs the info in the future.

I stumbled across the Koolance VL3N-MFG-P, which I didn't see on the Koolance website, oddly. It's a bulkhead quick disconnect, with a G1/4 internal thread, perfect for connecting the push-fit fittings.

Found it here.
