hi,

i want to instal the zalman nb47j, http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/northbridgecooling/zm-nb on to my xbox1's gpu as the fan thats on there now sounds like a drill!

but the thing is the zalman comes with screws n there isnt space for any holes on the motherboard. i know that the older zalman thats now discontinued came with sime glue, so u dnt need to screw any holes.

what glue can i use to stick this onto my gpu?

any help will be much appreciated.

thanks

well, i noticed that the fan is relatively quiet when its not attached to the current heat sink, so i think its more the rattle etc thats causing the noise.

i've also seen a tutorial here:

http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tutorials/Turning_the_v1.0_xbox_silent.pdf

the guy uses the older zalman nb32j, which has now been discontinued. i assumed that the nb47j was the current one. all i really need is some sort of glue to stick it onto my motherboard.

any alternative ideas?

You either use sticky TIM pads or use a thermal epoxy. Id just replace the fan dude tbh, get one for a couple quid off ebay.
