Coolbits OC

havent had a try yet, will tryu soon, busy wit work ATM, plus not somehow im gettin 87 fps with no oc in css cranked, compared to 70 before, so i dont wana risk losing that when i go back to defualt XD

Okay, Good luck anyhoo dude!

If you do try, and it goes spaz again, try and uninstall the drivers. I think Kempez said this eariler. :o

At WORK? Its 2:00am !

after a few horus of playing, everything was going well. oc was fine, rebooted with riva tuner and had that load the clocks and my fps was 92 in stress test. was gaming on bf2/css/live for speed, and then i decided to do another css stress test. 73 fps. :(

Are you sure your overclocking it?

This is really weird! Did you tell rivatuner to save the settings?

I remember somewhere theres a setting saying "Save settings until I reboot"

Do you think you have checked that one?

u guys no what could be rong? would it be hardware or software.. (im leaning software)

no anything that can fix it?

to be sure its not the graphics card you can flash the bios to one with safe (but higher) clock speeds. There is also the possibility that youre doing something wrong in RivaTuner, it can be a bit temperamental sometimes

im kinda skeptical on flashing the bios, plus i read u need a floppy drive, and i dont have that.

and come to think of it, it might be the card. cuz even on its own, the fps jumps on the stress test everyfew weeks lol. one time its 70, other times 87

From what I see, you're using an aftermarket gpu cooler, which is good. Temps still seem a bit high, like you're using a stock hsf; might want to repaste the gpu and reseat the gpu hsf.

Also, your rig is AMD so 'cool 'n quiet' may be enabled in the BIOS; this throttles back your cpu when it gets hot (I believe), so disabling it may help to keep clock speeds normal at the cost of a bit more heat. Of course stress testing runs the cpu hotter, so hopefully your cpu hsf will handle it.

I would disable the 'cool 'n quiet' first, if that doesn't help then try repasting/reseating the hsf.

(I don't need to put a disclaimer in here, do I?)
