Coolant choices ?

I'm putting an order in for some pastel yellow coolant, but am unsure of the best way to go. So here are my options.

Option 1 Mayhems pastel yellow premix 1 litre
Option 2 Mayhems pastel yellow concentrate with either

Distilled Water
or
De-Ionised Water
or
Clear XSPC as base / Mayhems X1

Are there any advantages, disadvantages between the two water choices, or a man made water cooling fluid ? And is a litre enough for a 30mm 360mm / 240mm Mosta and a 250mm res , cpu, and 2 gpu blocks ? Cheers guys..

With the premix you'll get things like antifungal additives so if you were making your own then you should add things like that too.

I think you'll need more than a litre, as mine takes very nearly a litre and I only have 1 360mm 60mm thick rad, and 1 cpu and 1 gpu block and a 250mm res, so with that extra rad and GPU block I think it'll push it over a litre, and you don't want to risk trying to get away with just getting 1 litre in case of any spills, and it's always better to have a bit too much than not enough obviously

If I go with concentrate, it will be a litre plus, the 250ml, I can always add more base it will just be lighter, I can then order more. What would be the best option for the base do you think. If I need any additives I'm already using a Monsoon silver bullet nice bit of kit, I'm always concerned that a coil will get sucked through with the pump.

when ordering whatever coolant you go with buy double what you need especially with colored coolant. there might be a slight variation between batches. yeah it'll work itself after abit. My personal suggestion is forgo the prone to fail colored coolant and use colored tubing instead. With DI water and a kill koil or that monsoon plug (I'm using 2 in my loops)

I'm planing on going for the new Primochill yellow compression res and acrylic hose as and when they are all available. ST have the res'es in now but the hose is at the end of the month, and no eta on the fittings. So when the time comes, I will be using clear, I like that idea more than coolant mixes, Plus the primo res'es look great they're bringing out a D5 fitting for them to apparently . I take it the mayhems pastel concentrate can be mixed with anything, all I can find out is you can use any Mayhems with Mayhems ?
