If this was a memory error would the board not show a code? Would it have aloud me to even attempt to install windows or the one time get to the desktop.
This is so frustrating
Hi all,
In the process of running mentest now on a single stick as I type it's 75% 0 errors this is on default settings 2133 once this completes I will add the other stick and run the test again so 16gb at 2133 then set the xmp to 3200 and test both sticks again.
I would leave the memory speed alone for now and try and get the rig stable and the OS on. It could well be that the ram is not properly compatible with that board dude.
Remember, it's still early days for Skylake so you may have just picked the wrong memory.
The memory is on asus QVL. The pc was working fine with the xmp set at 3200 18.18.18.38 at 1.35v
In till I messed with the asus ai suite, then from here its been all down hill. The matrix has it load indicator and even playing games after the ai3 done its thing the Gfx card was not under full load for the whole time I was gaming.
Then it crashed and well the problems have been ever since.
Have you tried setting the memory up manually
If you are having issues with 3200MHz its either the sideline volts to keep it all in play or the IMX on your CPU cant cope with memory that high.
So it either needs setting up OR your CPU cant do 3200MHz
No I have not as I am unsure what settings to change and value to change them.
First set up, Bios flashed, xmp enabled and all was running good. I played the same game for around 6 hours and never had an issue. The next morning is when I installed that program.
Since then I have just left default on 2133 without changing any settings.
Have a look at this, It maybe worth a try.

Sorry to repeat myself Tom but it was working okay at 3200. 3200 was set before I had even installed an OS the first time. I had no issues that first day or the next morning.
Right now the bios is stock on every setting.
I just cannot understand why I cannot get an OS to install as every time on the reboot it fails.
Fails how on reboot? Why are you reinstalling? What OS are you installing and how?
Right. First of all stop secure erasing your SSD, you'll eventually kill it.

According to M$ you have corrupt data on the drive. If the drive works in another PC and your memory has tested OK and you've replaced the board that only leaves the CPU dude.
