Computer wont start up after CPU overclock

Hello all,

I installed the APB beta, so I restarted my PC and while I did that I thought I would set the CPU clocks slightly higher (E8400, was running at stock then put it up to 3.6Ghz) and my motherboard, MSI P45 Platinum automatically adjusts the RAM and the voltages too, but then afterwards, I clicked on save and exit, and now my PC won't start up at all, it won't even come up with the motherboard splash screen or let me access the BIOS, there is also a few lights on the motherboard that light up all green while the BIOS splash screen comes up and when the computer is up and running fine, but at the moment 2 of the lights won't go green when I start up, I was wondering have I killed anything on my PC, or is there another way to reset all the settings?

My CD drive is broken but still plugged in, although that shouldn't make a difference because it has been sitting in there ages and the PC still starts up fine with it all plugged in?

Anyone can help?

unplug your pc from main power.

remove the cmos battery

leave it for 1 minute

Put the battery back in

And boot you pc back up.

This will reset every setting in your bios to factory defaults.

A lot of times they have a jumper that is close to the battery. You can simply move the jumper over 1 pin and then move it back to the original position. Quick and easy and no need to pop that batter out or unplug the computer. Check your motherboard manual for the location of it.
