It's not primer. It's made by a company called Montana Black.

The colour is called rust. It's as close as I could get without using a dark poo like brown.

On the old Noctua I have it is brown (the 92mm) the new ones have a orangey hue so rust would be about perfect. The finish isn't flat it's satin so I'm well pleased with that

Hmm. Tis a bit off. Ah well I can't afford to chuck it so I'm going to have to roll with it. Loads of things have come up financially so I just can't afford to spend any more on it now.

Annoyingly it looks fuck all like the colour on the can and more like red oxide.

I might just put it off until spring.

Edit. I think I'm going to get onto the company. This is bullsh*t.

Righto, just emailed them that pic.

Nah man I ordered that paint there ^ Beige and Rust. Sadly it's absolutely nothing like that pic or the can itself

Ah well, have emailed them and I will see what they say. Not as described comes to mind.

Impossible to tell really mate. I don't have the equipment to measure it. They're definitely quieter though and from sticking my hand in they also seem to push more air.

Andy, do u know if the Noctua NH-U12P cpu cooler would fit in the Alienware P2 chassis without removing the 120m side fan?

Not always, especially the back of some cases. All you can say is if you have 120mm mounts but have the room for a 140 they will fit.

Deffo. I couldn't fit a 140 in the back of my case as the IO shield holder part was in the way.

I got a reply from the paint place today

Hi,Spoke to the guys at montana, they tested the cans and the colour is as expected, they suggested you try shaking the cans up a bit more. All cans are quality tested and the paint is the same formula every time, the paint is made in Germany so there's no chance they an be wrong.

So because the paint is made in Germany there's absolutely no chance it can be a different colour to that on the cap? And shaking it longer changes the colour?

Funny that ! That's like saying that because VWs and BMWs are German they don't ever suffer with bad electrical problems.
