Cold boot issue after overclock

Hey all,

I have a small issue with overclocking. I recently overclocked my cpu, and since then it does the 'on-off-on' thingy when trying to cold boot ...

I'm at a loss here. I have no clue whatsoever what could be causing this. It never did that on default values ... I'm currently running @ 4.5GHz, though I had it at 4.8GHz for some time (I tuned it back because I was nearing 80C during Intel Burn Test => Aircooler :p).

As you can see in my siggy, I'm using an Asus P9x79 mobo and an Intel 4820k cpu.

Tips and suggestions are welcome!

PS: this is my first attempt at OC'ing ever, so forgive me if I made a ridiculous mistake

Mine only does the On - Off - On thing after setting or changing the overclock profiles, so I would assume that it would be something to do with that, whether it is loading the values in from the cmos and then setting them or not I can't say, but to me that would be the most likely cause of it.

happens to me if i have some settings a little bit off. then i go back and tweak..

funny thing is though. i could be 100% stable at 4.4ghz and no issues at all..
but if i enable the HD i5 gpu.. on off on...
and would have to clock down 100mhz or dissable the hd gpu so it stoped doing the on off on thing.. (i only have hd gpu on for faster encoding of vids)
