Choosing a New IPS 23"-24" Monitor

I've decided that it's time to get a 2nd monitor; a 23" or 24", 1920x1080, IPS monitor for under £175. I plan to use the new IPS monitor as my main monitor, and my old Asus one as a secondary monitor for just my desktop and for my PS3 too. There's quite a lot of choices out there, and i like the look of these two (heard great things about them aswell):

Dell U2312HM
Iiyama X2377HDS

However, there are loads of other variations of the Ultrasharp range and a bunch of Iiyama IPS monitors too, so if you know of an even better monitor defo let me know. It's gotta be 1920x1080, 23" or 24", £175 or under and most importantly it has to be a quality IPS panel too (i hear both monitors above have amazing panels).

Thanks

I would prefer the Dell, I know many guys who own Dell IPS screens and never heared about any problems.

I have no complaints at all with my X2377HDSes.

The other iiyama IPS screens use exactly the same panel as the X2377HDS, but just have slightly different stands, boarders, and some have the rotating feature.

Infact, pretty much all 23 inch IPS screens use the same LG panel - all LG (obviously) AOC and iiyama. I'm not sure about the Dell - but as nice as they look, I wouldn't say it's worth another £20/30 for display port.

I wish I would have known about the Dell U2312HM a few months ago , I would have bought one , I still might in the near future.
That's why I like this forum , honest knowledgeable opinions from people that know what their talking about.

Such small IPS monitors (23/24) are pretty fast too, so even gamers can get those two, without any hesitation :)

27"+ is where things are getting a bit more complex, if you after fast response, no input lag and no blur at all...

If I were you, I would always go for Dell, only because I already use them, and have had no problems with anything Dell, apart from my old Dell tower, but that is a different story :P monitors are all personal decisions though, if you are just gaming, look for a better refresh rate, if you are doing anything with photo and video, definitely the dell, just my opinion, good luck choosing :)

Hmm what about the 23" Dell S2340L £131 on Aria (I know you've purchased already but I wonder if this one is just as good)
