Cases for Watercooling

SleevingMaster
I'm looking at getting a case in the next few weeks to start my watercooling project. I just don't know what the hell to go for. There is a plethora of cases to go for, but I just can't make my mind up. I was initially looking at an 800D but after research, any loop in my opinion looks messy in them. I then thought about the TJ07, but every man and his dog has one. I'm now looking at Lian-Li cases. They look quality, I don't mind modding/ cutting/ glueing/ making etc. thats what I'm after a decent case for a project between now and early next year for Ivy Bridge. I like the idea of a 3x 140 or 4x 120mm rad with a nice but res and a powerful pump, so want a case to fit all that good stuff in. Not interested in Coolermaster rubbish, every single one of their cases look dog ugly to me. Thanks in advance guys!

I was looking at the Elysium, but again looks crap, as does the 932 and the TJ11 is over 400 smackers!

There's not much choice when it comes to cases and watercooling it's why i'm holding out for the Cosmos 2 the Trooper is supposed to be a good water cooling case as well which should be out around the same time.

How much do they cost to import in though. I've been ticking over about the XSPC, Mountain Mods and Caselabs chassis'. AHHH I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

I've heard that the xspc ones leave something to be desired though space and layout wise. The caslabs seem to be in a league of their own. It's not going to be cheap to import. Funnily enough I was going to ask the same question yesterday but checking my bank balence for monies (or lack of) stopped me from bothering. It will cost quite a lot to import though, shipping will not be cheap on its own! Wouldn't surprise me if £400 was the total...

I've just looked at the TTL review of the new phobya external rad. That and the caselabs pedestal idea have got me thinking about an entire external solution. Maybe that might solve your case issues (so you can just pick the best looking) and try to sex up some kind of mount for rads?

How about the lian li pc-a70f.More than enough room in the top for a full fat 360x60mm thick rad.Requires a little modding and cutting though.

Cool, I've been looking at the Lian Li cases. I wonder if I can get a 360 in the top and a 240 in the bottom?

The lian li Pc-A70F has plenty of room in the top for a 360 rad,but the hdd cage has to be removed and a normal sized psu used if a 240 rad should fit the bottom. But its a big case, measures 590x580x220mm.

Some extended modding is required to fit 2 rads.

Maybe the phobya 1080 rad + rad stand in TTL`s new video review is an option too.

Edging towards a Lian-Li case now for the modding options, plus the exteriors look nice too, compared to the Coolermaster and Corsair cases.

Doesn't look easy to get a neat looking loop in there though? Its got those 'thermal zones,' which look like they restrict your options for positioning stuff.

I'm edging towards this. Or a similar updated Lian case, the A70 is a few years old now; but I like the idea of a 360 in the top and a 240 in the bottom. Can I run both rads on the same loop with just one pump? (As long as it can pump a good rate per hour)?
