Case modding help

Hi guys,

after much holding back i have decided to let the wild side come out to play and have started to mod my own case. I plan to cut new fan holes, windows etc but im stuck on what cutting disks are needed to cut thru 0.6 to 1.2mm alu?

I'm gunna be using a dremel to do the cutting on an old case first to get some practice and need the disks. Does anyone know where i can find cheap disks that will do the job?

Jig saw all the way bud ... unless you have a proper hole saw to cut metal (slight sniger)

Nice 1 cheers for all replies! I thought about jigsaws but didnt think i could cut thru alu with em.

Would a jigsaw be the same when doing fan holes between 92 and 140mm?

Jig saw will cut though Ali like butter. and for steel for that matter just as easily.

Just take you time and when you finished fill it down for a nice rounded finish.

You can use a dremmil but better off with a files as it doesnt do it as quick and you can take your time.

just be sure to use some wd40 on ur case when ur cuttin as it will cut smoother and it wont melt ur jigsaw blade!

these are good blades for the job too!

Thanks for all comments, very helpful and very appreciated. Im going to finally take the plunge and mod my case
