Well, first off, you know heat rises. Right? Since the CPU fan will suck up all the cool air and turn it into hot air.........you don't want that hot air back in your CPU so you have to find a way to let it escape fast. The best way for this to happen is to have intake fans on the front and exhaust fans on the back. this way when the hot air off your CPU rises, it will just get sucked away by your exhaust fans. The video card and CPU get direct cool air from the two fan locations nearest the critical hardware. There are also methods of case airflow that I will cover later and update this FAQ.
