Case Fan Recommendations?

I must have serious sh*t luck with the Corsair fans that are provided with the AIR 540.

I've already had to RMA-Replace 2 of them, and one of the 2 replacements has started to stall and and wobble about (Making that dreadful vibration noise) in a space of about a month. The shaft has some play in it and of course throws the blade balance off.

I'm looking for a fan that is pretty much equal to the specs of the AF140, and is quiet. Nothing that will break the bank. I may also like to go down the LED white route

I can't say that I'd be happy to buy a pack of Corsair, I know the ones provided in the case aren't as "finished" as the retail product, but with how long the ones provided have lasted it's made me want to go with another brand to be brutally honest.

Just get some normal AF fans matey you can have the ring ones that match the SP's or you can get the LED versions now too.

I've had 32 Corsair fans both the stock ones that came with cases/coolers and AF series, they have all been perfect except for one which was just DOA, I sent Corsair a ticket and I had a new one before the week was out. It sounds like you have had genuinely horrific luck, what have you been using to power/control them?

Have no personal experience with them. Heard some good things about them? Glad I didn't buy those then and went with Noctua's.

I have no issues with the Spectre pros. My AF PE fans are the loudest with my DDC pump being louder than my Spectre pros. SP quiet editions are rated 5dBA louder than the Spectre pros at 23 vs 18 dBA. But I honestly can't say I think that's accurate.

I just installed some AF 120's QE + 140 QE and 4 Noiseblocker fans (push pull on the H100i) into my friends rig and it's almost silent. So having used, 120QE, 120 PE, Spectre Pros and some noise blockers. I 100% vouch for 120 AF QE. As for the SP's haven't used them but I like Noctua and NB better.

i've used Bitfenix spectre Pro's and i hated them, a fan blade broke off with in a few weeks.

i'll never use them again.

Thanks for the replies so far, I've had no issues with the fans that came with the old H100i (Using them on my new custom loop too) and they've been trumping along just fine. It's the OEM AF140s that came with the case that's been failing on me. Anyhow, I've been using the motherboard to control them. Before the custom loop install I had them at full whack. But since going custom I've had them on silent most of the time unless I'm benching.

With so many people using the AF140s and SP120s it really must be down to bad luck with me, and with the A1+ Customer service provided by Corsair I really cannot go wrong.

But if anyone has any other recommendations, please feel free! Hopefully this thread will help someone else
