Carbide Air 540

So I decided to dump my old Fractal Arc case for something with a little more space. I ended up with this mammoth and couldn't be happier (for the moment anyways). I also figured that my old tx650W was getting long in the tooth so I decided to upgrade it to a modular CX750M.

System specs are

i5 3570k
2x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
250GB Samsung 840 SSD
1TB WD Black HDD
EVGA GTX670 FTW
ASUS Xonar DG
Corsair CX750M
Corsair H60
Corsair K95 Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance 1500 Head Set
Micro$oft Sidewinder X3 Mouse

I haven't put much time in the wiring on the other side yet. It's on my to do list.

The photos are from my 1020 (36mp) so keep that in mind before hitting resize. :P

I ordered some white led strips from frozen PC this morning, so those are on the way now. Thinking about getting rid of the blue fan and have the H60 and one fan only, just can't decide if I want it to push or pull. There is a few other things that I need to pick up for the case, but im being hush hush about it at the moment. :)

LED's showed up today. I need to go pick up a few more things before I am done. Getting kind of excited, I've never had a real show piece PC before.

Looking good to me dude, do the led strips have a brightness control? I love the power it's giving out but I'm just thinking of your vision if you use it in the dark

For the H60, I would go with the single fan pushing out of the case. Also you could reverse the rear case fan around and have it pulling air in. Although if you do that I would chuck a dust filter on there.

Glad your pleased with your rig, it sure looks good to build in :)

EDIT: Have you thought about another AF LED fan for the rear?

Not sure what AF led fan is?

I ended up going to replace the fan on the h60 with a high pressure corsair fan and noticed that some of the fins were jacked up. So I ran down the street and picked up a h100 along with a nice white power cable to replace the ugly one.

Final result is this:

Can't complain about the h100 that's for sure!
Sadly, I have to keep messing with the link software to get it to work in win 8.1

Love the case and the big window, something I really wish more cases had. Clean and smooth setup. Great job.

Thanks!
It goes really nice with my K95 keyboard too lol.
I'm just trying to think if there is anything else that I can do to it, and im coming up short.

AF LED fans are the ones you have in the front mate haha. Nice tidy rig :) (i'd put the led's on 7V though, little too bright IMO)

I have the same case its one of the best cases I have used I have added three af 120 in front and I got a couple of degree cooler and its a lot quieter with the droppers that come with it (the stupid humming noise was annoying me from were the metal tabs overlay the fans at front with the 2 standard 140s in , its now a lot quieter and cooler also you can get with leds to colour match )

refb to h100 I I have that in mine and run 8.1 64 there are two ways around the problem first they have released a beta driver for 8.1 with a fix but the way I have mine is the reg tweak and it works fine with no problems at all with all fans and equipment working

here is the page from corsair the beta is on same forum http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=120962

hope it helps

well done, I like it. This case always seem to give me food for thought, very tempted each time i see another build with it.. damn it lol
