Car radiator/pump setup

Can it be done? What are the barriers to overcome apart from size?? How do you calculate the amount of pressure required for the size of this system?

It would be a great project if its possible without any problems

:D

Its fairly common for people on a budget. some guy did it with a race car radiator and two huge fans

Are there any advantages over a proper kit apart from the whole cost of the setup?

They're designed to fit in a PC case and are specific for PC use with smaller internal diameter pipes.

Running it through a car rad would need a fair amount of power.

Heater cores from cars are a better choice for water cooling and are fairly common and super easy to mod and fit in a PC.

A heater core that will fit 2 120mm fans runs less than $20 US new at most parts stores and some have 1/2 pipes already on them.

Here's a few shots of some modded heater cores with shrouds I had in my system for sometime, the only big draw back is the size and weight.
