Car photos/discussion thread

I just got rid on my sv650 and after 6years bo claims tpft was 150 a year. I officially despise your fortune at getting cheap ass insurance. No bike at the minute.

I had several close calls and not a single one was due to my stupidity or speeding but the stupidity of other drivers

what bike you planning on getting next fella?

Was thinking about the new suzuki gsxs1000 which is a naked detuned gsxr1000 that looks the mutts nuts. But my dad wants me to buy a house off him and i may be doing business in America a lot in the future so there would be no point until i know what the score is. The guy i sold it too though has dropped it twice though an d wrecked the fairings so its now a half faired ine lol

ahhh wicked man i know what bike you mean, it does look like a bit of a monster haha, i was looking at gsr750's not long ago myself. an fair play to you mate, you wouldn't want to leave that sitting in a garage collecting dust now would you, ugh sorry to hear about the fool dropping "your" bike though, he is going to regret that when he comes to fixing it. i am currently looking at moving up to a big bike at the end of the year, as i said earlier i have been eyeing up the suzuki gsr750z, and am currently looking at a honda cbr650f as its more of a sports tourer an i do actually want to go traveling on the bike at some point next year.

I'm under the assumption these are fully electric heated folding mirrors?

If you can get me the type of mirror they are, i maybe able to get a set, but if they're fully electric heated folding mirrors then the Audi price isnt too bad providing that's parts & labor

Thanks for the offer dude - he's found a set. Apparently he just needs the cover and the mirror itself.

I have loads of biker friends too, they would still find it funny  was just for lols, but it is weird one would think sports bikes would be more expensive to insure than cars.

JR

Well not really, me and Tripp alone know people who have died from motorcycle accidents. Put a sportsbike in the hands of a teenager and you have trouble.

Couldn't agree more, sportsbikes need a more mature attitude an most teenagers lack maturity, an that would simply be a recipe for a funeral.

I have a new crush. I need my license.

Volkswagen Golf GTE.

GTI too of course, but I think the Golf makes for an awesome hybrid. Still pretty expensive though (for a student like me)

Im not so sure, born again 40 year old, passes test goes and gets s1000rr (as its the in thing at the moment) I don't think he safe on that either.

I was on a 97 fireblade up in the peaks (Derbyshire) all i saw in the mirror was a gsxr1000 cartwheeling through a field, turned round to see what had happened, mr 40 year old had just got it and thought he could catch us up.

The other person is mr well I have driven fast cars so I can manage a bike, that usually ends the same as above.

yeah i can agree with this too, no one person should be allowed to just jump an a properly fast bike, not without riding a smaller more forgiving bike first.

Daft as it sounds I would make them all do 2 track training days, so they can find out what the machine can do in the right environment.
Plus you have run off area's, gravel traps and medics on standby.

I wouldn't stop anyone buying what they want, just make sure they have the training in place to not scare themselves senseless on it.

Oh you guys

Remember i told you about the red M3 that was sold before i could get to it!!

I think it found it!
