I like the look of the ramrunner. Its a shame you can't get them in the UK unless you'reprepared to drop the best part of £60k it seems.

The RamRunner looks great, but I'm not into off road racing. My Tacoma's wheelbase is too long for serious off roading. I have added Posi Trac so now it's on the front and rear, when it's in four wheel drive. It's a comfortable ride and handles really well on the snow and ice that we get a lot of here in Northern Virginia.
I've had it since 2006 and never had any issues with it. (it's getting up in miles though)

Don't make Ramrunner kits anymore. Last kit made was for 2012. Now Ram has released a Ram "Rebel" model. It's supposed to replace that Runner but in all honesty in comparison it looks far uglier... Most people are opting to get the 2012 Runner over the new Rebel.

Went to see an Astra today for my mum. Looked under the oil cap and it was covered in white creamy liquid, same with the dipstick. The dealer said it just needed an oil change but I've never seen this before so I said I'd pass. Thoughts?

That would be the combination of oil and water, which is less than ideal. It could be a head gasket or just condensation but personally I would run away.

Head gasket by the sounds of it. I've plenty of experience with those :L darn things.

Good advice. It's got problems with the oil and water mixed. Whatever the reason, it can't be good and will need repair.

As others have said could be a headgasket, could be condensation from short runs, could even be the oil exchange cooler, but either way, its going to be problematic. Good job on walking away!

Just about to go drop the BMW off to John Leg, POLY BUSSSHHHEEESSSS :D

Alfa Romeo Brera. Thoughts? They're pretty reasonably priced now and you can get one with FSH, a decent specification and lowish miles for around £5K...

You can?

They look nice - that's all I can contribute :p

Are you ok to be insured on those engines - seem quite large?

Not as bad as you'd think. FWD cars seem to be less costly insurance wise for me. I guess its also now down to me driving for a couple of years with no points or incidents. I'm mostly window shopping for the time being.

-edit- this is the car I found that is in budget. Its not got the top of the range engine, so that probably explains the insurance not being too bad. Also helps I don't drive much I guess.

I love the look of them but i've no idea what the reliability / maintenance is like on them.

In other news im currently looking at a 206 xsi as an upgrade. My younger brother is 17 in april and he seems keen on having my car so seeing as we know what has been done to it i'd rather him have that.

It's a great looking car. How does it drive?

Went for a 2011 Ford fiesta, Diesel, 80k miles for £3K for her. Seemed like a pretty good deal at auction.

Got the bimmer back, drives so nice :D

John said it was too low for his liking, took him half hour to get it on a ramp, he says he doesn't struggle getting the Viper on there as much as he struggled with mine....mission accomplished!

The E92 i was going to look at on the weekend sold yesterday, seems they'll finance anyone these days, 19 year old, first car, so ill probably see it written off soon :(

Chances are that wasn't finance then. Probably a drug dealer or a rich kid.

Nope it was finance, i asked the sales guy, £4500 deposit, £645 per month! Waste of money for a child!

Hate to see his insurance, don't really care if it was a rich kid, drug dealers pay cash just so you know ;)

Should be a law saying you need 5 years driving experience before you're allowed a RWD Sports Saloon.
