RX7 mebbah?

i have looked at a few and i wont lie i do have a massive soft spot for them, but if im honest i wouldn't have the same enthusiasm as if i owned a GTR

Im not to fussed, just think after looking for 6 months time to call it a day. most people put cars away for the shitty weather! So all the good ones go away

Japshow Finale is in 3 weeks, if im gonna find anything it'll be there after that they all go away

Pick me up a Mistubishi Starion or a turbo'd kei car while you're at it please ;)
or a Chaser
or a RX7
or a skyline
or a soarer
or a gt86
or a ae86
I'm not picky

Understandable :(.
I'm quite lucky with my Corsa. Its only needed the Exhaust replacing so far despite the previous owner really not looking after it. The headgasket went on my first car and I got rid of it, so kudos to you for replacing your car's for the second time. ^_^

The shell of it is in pretty good condition for a w reg. No visible rust or anything. It's just the engine that keeps going. A head gasket kit is only 40 quid so hopefully the head wont need skimming or replacing to keep it cheap.

what about a mitsubishi cyborg. my mate has one thats otr atm becuase hes doing a bit of tweking to get it up to 400hp. a mitsubishi colt, with an evo drivetrain, with 400 hp. the thing will launch like bleep of a shovel

ive driven a colt with evo running gear already, it does go like shit of a shovel! But its not a common car, and tbh i know how much it costs to build something like that, and its not the kind of money i really wanna pour into a car

Bit of an unusual one for this thread but on topic nevertheless :p

So my GF needs a new car, a small hatchback. She likes the Mini cooper/hatch but they seem to be around 7K with reasonable mileage/age.

Are there any other models you guys would suggest that we could get for less than 7K?

What kind of spec are we talking, because you could get a Civic for £3000 or a KA for £1000

What does she want from the car, air con? alloys? colour? etc etc

Ah yes I forgot the important bits!

Well she's not too fussed, she just wants a pretty one of course.
I'd say AC and ability to have passengers in the back is the only real requirement, and possibly alloys because I personally hate plastic wheel trims.

Age: no older than 07/08
Mileage: less than 30/40k

Fiat 500 or Fiat Panda 100hp get my vote. Fiat know how to make small cars. If you want bigger than those then you can get some nice, 3-5 year old Polos.

I suggested the 500 but she said it looks like a toy car.. :banghead:

Its a shame as it fits your requirements perfectly :/. BMW 1 series?

From what I've seen 1 series tend to be a bit out of her price range for the age/mileage she wants (or maybe I've not looked hard enough, I get distracted looking for a personal upgrade :p )

I'll see if I can take her down to a showroom that has a Fiat500 and play that "oh look may as well have a look while we're here" card

Go for it ;). Maybe look at a punto as well?

If she does want one I say get an abarth one, they're awesome little cars.

The Abarths are a little bit too expensive it seems..

What are people's most preferred places to buy/find cars, i.e. autotrader, eBay, private show rooms, large company show rooms (carpeople, etc)?

Autotrader has dealers, car supermarkets and indivduals on it. I use it the most.

This guy, seriously
