Barnsley....are you on facebook, i got something that may interest you ;)

ooooooooooooh, yeah I am :p. What have you found? :o

ooooh. Look what Jaguar are going to be making again. They're using the last 6 chassis that never were finished. The Jaguar E type lightweight is such a looker :O.

I will sometime :D. Currently looking into getting some of these (not actual BBS ones but not cheap copies either...) and some coilovers for my corsa (if it actually lasts any longer). got some ideas for it as it'll take me a few years of saving to get the car I really want (Abarth Punto).

Might get a Rover Metro in the future, it would be a nice cheap fun project car and they are becoming rarer, austin metros are almost impossible to find now and i imagine rover metros will be the same. Also it is British heritage

My car managed to pass it's mot this week with no advisories for a change. Not bad for a 19 year old car with 185k miles on the clock.

A friend of a friend has one. Future classics imo. Not that pretty (although they can look surprisingly nice) but I reckon like the VW T25 they'll start to shoot up in value soon

Its a Saab though. That's a pretty much guaranteed pass ;).

Yeah i quite like the T25 but i would rather have a new VW van if i was to get a van. But still nice to look at just not much use as a van.

Old Jaguar S Types have been catching my eye lately

I'd love a t25 as I love boxy cars. Those Jaguars have aged so well. They're obviously not as famous but they still true classics. Its interesting how Jaguar are trying to go back to being like the company they were back then. I have to say if I had to get a modern saloon it'd be a Jag.

this comes on saturday

ooooh, I quite like those new mercs. Good choice :D.

Today is saturday and for me that is traditionally an internet browse to find a car to save for that I actually like

Still thinking about modding my corsa, although I'll need to replace a few body panels though

sorry to spam this thread with my questions guys, other forums are just way too slow for my taste. Long story short, removed my exhaust pipe directly after the turbo, car became so slow it was unbearable, help?

I just want some more choo choo and was thinking about getting a straight pipe but wanted to get the feel of it before spending any money at all.

There will be a lack of pressure im guessing and im pretty sure its illegal to not have an exhaust on a car haha but don't quote me im not 100% sure

yep its illegal, might go with a hi flow cat later on, but it costs 170eu just to save a couple of polar bears :P I've heard/read that less pressure behind the turbo makes it spool faster and hence car accelerates faster, but in this case the theory isnt working in practice

Technically taking the exhaust off on a car with forced induction will help reduce back pressure and should improve things, however you are just dumping extremely hot exhaust gasses (think ~700 degrees) straight into your engine bay where your intake and all the temperature sensors live which will really screw about with things. Increasing the diameter of the downpipe is the way to go. (standard mod on all saab turbos is to go from stock 2.25" up to 3" when moving from stage 2 to 3, gains about 40-50hp)

Requiring back pressure to ensure good gas flow is something unique to normally aspirated engines not forced induction.

Engine tuning is a case of balancing (input against exhaust) !
Simply adding or removing anything will not improve performance one bit.
For us normal folk who haven't a lot of money to throw at our pride and joy's it's probably best to just make the best of what you have and just make sure it runs the best it can. For example, well maintained (good oil/plugs/filters and engine settings).
If you want to go down the road of performance tuning it will cost you a small fortune, believe me.

i have a yamaha neo's 100cc with 2 flat tires, a broken clock and bashed up body work..
never has a scooter before but it was a gift. as i am without transport and being a carer dont actually get much money. but i really doubt il ever get used to a scooter. all i ever rode were motor bikes and on a test ride (the tyres have medium slow punctures lol) i found my self trying to put my feet up on foot pegs, but there arent any its a foot well kind of thing. very strange.
but being rev and go its really easy on your ankle.
