Ouch thats awful! I feel sorry for you Aussies. You do get better deals for imported cars from japan if thats any trade off (and possibly a way you could get another alfa.. )

Going car shopping next weekend. I'm going to go look at a BMW e30 318 3 series convertible and a mark II golf. fingers crossed

I would but it it nearly doubles the insurance. Also means the car is worth less than the equivalent condition 6 cylinder model. A 6 cyl equivalent would be £8k or more whereas this is £3.8k. It'll still go up in value though

I'd love a MkI or II Gti. I nearly bought a Stage two APR tuned Golf VI but sanity prevailed.

It was mental but I'd either have no licence or I'd be in a casket if i had bought it. Biggest smiles ever test driving it though! Now I drive a bus - Toyota Kluger (Highlander for the rest of the world)

Lambo is unpractical and is just a show boat with the maintenance costing a fortune as they go wrong a lot.

With BMW you are getting German engineering which is the best in the world, With a top of the line BMW you can pull up to an event and look classy where as if you do it with a lambo you just look like a douche ^_^

Yeah but they are put together cheaply, There's a huge profit margin on lambos, More so than on top of the line BMW's.

Hmm, most BMW "M" drivers that I've seen pull up to events are, simply put, utter pricks. Usually because they can't afford a 'supercar' but still want to look rich...

My uncle could probably afford a lambo but he's a fan of BMW's design style, Nice round about insult though

Or a Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin, Maserati, etc, etc.

A Lambo is a supercar, an M4, not so much lol

Oh god no. Mustang's are ugly! The new ones look way better than previous models, but then again they look like something a teenager would drive. They look childish(to me). For that money, could get some nice American Muscle Or an Audi A3. Those don't look to bad.

My favorite car is actually a Shelby GT 500 67 slightly modified

Still one of my fave german cars of all time.

We mainly use Mercedes and BMW's even the new models as Taxis in Berlin.

Yes I'll just whip out the 30 folders full of cataloged evidence I have.... come on dude it's widely known they are as well put together as a car made of corn flakes and jam and repairs cost a new born and left nut ^_^
