Hey peeps anyone know if you install a GPU with an AIO are the hoses supposed to be on the top or the bottom of the radiator, I've typed multiple ways into google and damned if I can get an answer Cheers.
I thought that maybe the end tank had to be a certain way around as I've never mounted an AIO vertically they've always been horizontal hence the question
The problem is, it's an aio. Who knows if there's air in there or not?
I did use an aio for a short time. Didn't like it, so went custom loop - but that's another conversation for another time. If in doubt, end tanks down.

It's almost impossible for them to have air in them. They are filled using a bleed system, and when they bleed they are completely full. Kinda like a brake system, or any other hydraulic system.
I have never, since the inception of these devices, ever had one with air in it that wasn't screwed. And that was once, and it was a Coolit that leaked.
It made some gurgling noises when first installed as it had just been delivered and being a refurb I wasn't sure if it was that or the tank being the wrong way around or shook up from the delivery but it's really quiet now I can't hear it even under load and it doesn't get above 54c

Yeah that should usually go within about 5-10 mins. If you keep hearing it you know it is leaking. I don't think MSI would send you a bad card tbh. Might be a bit tatty as it's obviously refurb, but yeah, they wouldn't send you a dud.
On an AIO always hose down. It says so in the installation manuals. If there is a small amount of air, it will be trapped in the top of the radiator. If the hoses is up, it will circulate the bubbles, and it will cause noise in the pump.
I Know they wouldn't send me a dud that's for sure but it didn't come with instructions and they have nothing on their web site either but I love the fact it sits at 2012Mz at 54c and is dead quiet and I thank everyone for the help and suggestions
I'm going to move the radiator soon as I just have it jerry rigged ATM to test it before I fully fit it and I have Aer RGB fans in my case now so I'm going to order a 120 to go on the rad before I fit it
I totally disagree. As I said before, that is what the manufacturer states but if it was gospel then how would people be running AIOs in the roof of their PCs?
When a water loop is burped and bled the entire system is under pressure from water only. Once the bubbles are gone in a real loop (which you need to keep the res open for) they are gone. The entire system is under water pressure only. As thus you could turn it any way you like, and as long as there was only water in the system it would still operate the same. Pump/res orientation matters squat, so long as you burp and bleed a loop.
AIOs as I said before are burped and bled when they are filled. You can run them in whatever position you like, and providing they don't leak they will still work the same.
BTW look at the CPU cooler. That is how Alienware fitted and shipped it to me.
