Cant OC ram

Hi,

I got 2x 4GB Vengance ram that speced at 1600Mhz at 1.5v and 9-9-9-24

Now my MB can support ram up to 2000Mhz

so i set the FSB to 250 multi to 16 to give me my cpu clock at 4Ghz,

then i up the ram v to 1.65 and 9-10-9-27 and 2000Mhz but the pc wont even boot says overclocking failed.

that is way too much of an OC for 1600 ram

you may get 1700-1800 on them, but that's all.

and... we those speeds they will probably need extra cooling. your D14 doesnt allow much of that though

in the Corsair blog they said they reached 2000Mhz with the same ram

have tried corsair doms 2000 on ch4 with 1090t,and it also failed,amd isnt good with high clocks on rams.
