first, if you send me the Silenx fan I will pay you for it.

Second what is the fan for? Rad, Case?

and what does the inside of ur case look like?

1)i live in the uk so it might take a while to get to you.

when i say'died' by the way i mean the plastic encasing the motor in the middle is pretty much cracked open, so you cant fix it unless youre incredibly handy with a tube of industrial glue. Only way to fix would be an rma.

2)its for a pa120.3 rad thats outside my case, which is why its so important i get quiet fans!!!

3)overclocking and keeping temps stable is doing my head in

 just as a little observation - i kinda feel like with the money ive spent on rads, pumps, fans etc i could have gotten a real nice phasechanger and with lower temps too..............

And probably broken it with an overclocked quad.;)

Also you'd have waved good bye too you're warranties on the CPU and motherboard.

Ok so you "BROKE" the Silinex fans they didnt "Die". I would like to see a pict of the break if you can.

As to Fans I would use Silverstones

They are VERY quiet on low and can move 110CFM on high for when you need it.

the ball bearings will last much longer than reg sleeve fans. If you use the good teflon mounts the vibration transfered from the bearings will be nill.

i remember when i got them there was this tiny crack, barely noticeable, didnt even think twice about it coz it was so miniscule, so in a way it did die on me. anyway ive got another silenx fan an dnot too happy bout the flimsy push it gives

if those stats on the hiper are right go for those they look good. dB is a log scale isn't it so 30db is actually double 20dB (i think) which basically means there is a lot of volume increase between the noctura and scythe.

what silanx fans ur useing has this is the one to go for

120x120x38mm - 18dBA - 90CFM :yumyum:

its there extreme series 120 fan

Those silentX and not as quiet as they state, i was very disappointed when i purchased the 35mm one, as it was very 'whushy' noise wise.

For the price of the 35mm one, you could get almost 2 120mm noiseblocker fans which have a much better, low key noise signature and push around 35-40 cfm.

The best 35mm fan i've ever had was the one that came with my p180 case, that's gone now but i still kept the fan as it pushes a lot of air and is very quiet on medium or low setting.
