I like having peoples opinions though. It's good to have a group of like minded people here who know their shit.

It's hard helping people if they don't otherwise. Makes it very hard and are usually the longest threads with the longest post just to explain everything...

Stock will do you fine though but if he ever has extra cash then a cooler upgrade and overclocking will yield much better performance.

Agreed, +1Ghz can make quite a bit of a difference. After that you don't see it much really or even at all. As for ram, I see great improvements of how smooth things move up to about 2133. 2400 didn't see any real improvements in benchmarks or real world. Good timings on 2000 or 2133 seems to be the best for my purposes.
